Frequently asked questions

Find answers to the things clients ask us most

Getting started is simple. Contact us by phone on 0117 923 7652 or email [email protected] to arrange an initial conversation with one of our advisers. We'll find a time that suits you and explain what to expect from the meeting.

No. We offer an initial conversation free of charge and with no obligation. It's an opportunity to discuss your circumstances, ask any questions you may have and find out how we could help. There is no expectation to proceed, and we encourage you to take the time you need before making any decisions.

Many people seek financial advice when they're approaching retirement, receiving an inheritance, planning for the future or simply want reassurance that they're making the right financial decisions. If you're unsure whether advice would benefit you, an initial conversation is the best place to start. We'll discuss your circumstances and help you decide whether professional advice is likely to add value.

We typically work with individuals and families who have combined pensions and/or investments of £200,000 or more and are looking for ongoing financial planning and investment advice. Many of our clients are approaching retirement or already retired, although we also work with people earlier in their financial journey. If you're unsure whether we're the right fit, we're always happy to have an initial conversation.

Yes. We are an Independent Financial Advice firm (IFA). This means we're able to recommend products and solutions from across the market, rather than being restricted to a particular provider or panel. Our recommendations are based solely on what we believe is most suitable for your circumstances and objectives.

We believe in clear and transparent charging. Our initial advice is typically provided for an agreed fixed fee, based on the work involved, while any ongoing service is agreed separately depending on the level of support you require. We'll always explain our fees in advance, so you'll know exactly what you'll pay before deciding whether to proceed.

We start by getting to know you, your financial position and what you're hoping to achieve. We then analyse your existing arrangements and prepare personalised recommendations designed around your objectives. If you choose to proceed, we'll implement the agreed recommendations and, where appropriate, provide ongoing reviews to help keep your plans on track.

Yes. We regularly work alongside accountants, solicitors and other professional advisers to ensure every aspect of your financial planning is joined up. By working together, we can help ensure your plans are implemented as efficiently and effectively as possible.

We don't hold client money ourselves. Your investments are held by regulated investment platforms and custodians, where your assets are kept separate from our own. As a firm authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), we're also required to meet strict regulatory standards and maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.

Yes. Retirement planning is one of our core areas of expertise. We'll help you understand when you may be able to retire, how much income you could generate from your pensions and investments, and how different options may affect your long-term financial security. We also use cashflow modelling where appropriate to help you visualise your future finances with greater confidence.
