For some clients, it is important that their investments reflect their personal values as well as their financial objectives.

We work with you to understand your priorities and incorporate these into your investment strategy where appropriate.

How We Approach Ethical Investment

Ethical investment can mean different things to different people. For some, it is about avoiding certain sectors or activities. For others, it is about giving greater weight to environmental, social or governance considerations.

Our role is to understand what matters most to you, explain the options available, and help you decide how these fit within your wider investment strategy.

Our Ethical Investment Portfolios

Through our discretionary investment management service, we offer a range of risk-rated ethical portfolios.

These portfolios are negatively screened against certain sectors, including gambling, tobacco, pornography and armaments.

They are designed to strike a balance, allowing clients to invest more ethically while maintaining diversification and targeting appropriate long-term returns.

A More Bespoke Approach

For clients who want a more tailored solution, for example avoiding particular industries, we can construct bespoke portfolios outside of our discretionary model portfolios.

Where appropriate, we can also work with carefully selected third-party investment managers who specialise in ethical investment, providing a more customised approach.

What This Means for You
  • A clearer understanding of how your investments align with your values
  • Access to structured ethical portfolios with defined risk levels
  • The ability to balance ethical considerations with diversification and performance
  • Flexibility to take a more bespoke approach where required
A Balanced Approach

Ethical investment requires careful consideration.

It is important to balance your personal values with diversification, risk and long-term investment objectives.

Our role is to guide you through these decisions, ensuring your portfolio remains appropriate both financially and personally.

Experience You Can Rely On

All our advisers have experience in advising on ethical investment strategies. Many hold specialist ethical investment qualifications and one of our advisers, Tim Ewins, has published a book on ethical investing within pensions, reflecting the depth of expertise and interest within the team.
